Howler monkeys are typically black. They eat nuts and berries. They also eat Saprophytes (A type of fungi.) . Bengal tigers eat Howler Monkeys. Male monkeys have large throats and howl. This animal is a consumer. This lets other monkeys know that that spot is reserved. They can use their tales to climb. They can hang from high heights. They prefer to not get into arguments with other animals. They just sit and eat leaves and relax.  They are calm creatures. Howler monkeys are important to the ecosystem because they make sure the fungi does't become over populated.
